During Storm Darragh on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December, two separate berthing incidents occurred involving James Joyce and Ulysses respectively affecting the Terminal 3 berth used by Irish Ferries, resulting in part of the berth structure collapsing and rendering it unusable. The damage to Terminal 3 has also had an impact on Terminal 4 used by Stena Line.
The damage to a mooring dolphin, closest to the link span, has resulted in Terminal 3 and 4 both being out of action until at least January 15th.
As a result, Stena Line have redeployed vessels to Dublin to Birkenhead (Liverpool), and are running the Stena Adventurer between Dublin to Fishguard.
Irish Ferries have meanwhile redeployed the Ulysses on Dublin Cherbourg, freeing up James Joyce to sail between and Pembroke and Rosslare.
More details are on our forums.
