Have to say, whoever is managing the Stena Horizon on its new route, would be a good idea to get the finger out and get things sorted, no excuses for the amount of areas and systems with out of order and a movie lounge now a "Quiet Space", surely a company with the purchasing power of Stena Line can get a lift, vending machine and freestyle Pepsi cola machine fixed and get a few films to show on a 22 hour crossing, if the Flavia is the same it looks like they won't be on the route for much longer, lost interest is the impression one would get from watching the above video.

Ironically we all thought Stena purchased the Horizon, recent posts by Visentini suggested otherwise, if it's still chartered the daily rate was 20,000 US Dollars on the contract when first transferred to Stena Line, you would think every euro made onboard would be important, a vending machine switched off will earn nothing on any crossing.

I watched that video and unfortunately it backed up some thoughts I had having last month travelled on the Hoek to Harwich route on the Britannica. Stena appear to be really letting standards slip the level of service onboard is poor the restaurant food offerings are dreadful, basically if you don't want a burger a curry or fish n chips you don't eat, the decor is tired and quite worn.

A much more positive Stena experience onboard the Stena Estrid from Steps2Adventure as they take a pet cabin across the Irish sea from Holyhead (looks like T3) to Dublin port.
