Akka has arrived in Trelleborg, could be getting stores and crew (assuming TT are providing for the short term charter)

Looking at the ais track for St Patrick, it does not seem to have carried out any berthing trials yet on the linkspan, would have thought that would have been job one,  at no stage went to the main berth (unless it's a glitch but ais track records are normally accurate).

She needs crew familiarization and no doubt the authorities will want to inspect her.

Interesting times ahead a very impressive look with two modern large ferries starting the service.

Sailings still available to book for Monday June 15th Ex Cork and Boulogne.

Foot passenger fare is 105 each way from July 1st (cabin extra) does not seem too expensive to travel from Ireland to France. (cannot really compare to plane travel as someone going by ferry is not checking price to a plane - 90 minutes v 22 hours per crossing - Ryanair is 149 (no extras) for return to Paris B for the same date)

Wonder will Brittany Ferries possibly regret not getting either of these vessels for the Rosslare service instead of the Norbay as they were obviously available.

Was offered return for about €600 with a car for a sailing on 12th June(soft opening type deal) coming into Cork on the 15th. They were looking for feedback as part of the deal.

Was asked if I had social media presence(I don't) and got impression it would have been much cheaper or free if enough followers.

Not bad in fairness, but dates didn't suit.

Interesting, will have to keep a look out to see if anything appears on the Youtube channels next week, good idea to get some publicity by drawing in the "Influencers" or whatever the correct social media name is.

Akka is due into Boulogne tomorrow morning, don't think any berthing trials have happened yet, they must be confident  that the St Patrick will fit the ramp ok.

Looks good for the first crossings, St Patrick has arrived in Boulogne on time, Akka is going to arrive into Ringaskiddy about two hours late by the look of it, based on how far from Cork it is at the moment.
