In Rosslare for the weekend and catching up on news (Wexford People) and in a perfect example of how Government works, the former customs site on the road into the harbour which cost 15 million to build and fit out and offers parking for approximately 90 trucks (which was closed when they moved customs to the new port facilities) has been handed over to the OPW with no plans to use it for truck parking.

So you build a port, then expand the port, develop more business for the port and it seems nobody asked, where are these trucks going to park ? on a perfect day there are always trucks in the area and when a ferry is delayed the drivers have to wait somewhere, it's hard to understand how that site was not selected as a truck parking and facilities for washing/ wc/ laundry could have easily been provided.

Not really surprising as during the week came down the motorway and sat in traffic queueing to get through Oylegate, again what genius thought that you would bring a motorway to a stop just before a village instead of just after the village.

Sometimes it's hard to understand when logic goes out the window.
