My guess they will revert to a one ship service for the winter, Akka's lease is only for 6 months.

was it any better? judge for yourself

Ouff, he really didn't have a great trip. Agreed the thumbnail is misleading, clearly the deck has been chipped for painting (and there it tape to close that area off).

I'm surprised how nice Akka is onboard.

Anyone know if the Pont Aven and Armourique still use the gangway to the terminal for foot passengers? That set up walking people around is very strange.

Yes they do. For some reason(cost maybe?) Hibernia have decided not to use the gangway for foot passengers.

IFPete

More likely lack of passenger numbers.

Another interesting video from A2B onboard the St Patrick from Ringaskiddy.

Lessons learned - big improvement, still poor loads,

Some pics from Akka departing Ringaskiddy earlier this afternoon.

Revised timetable from 21st September. Akka's Wednesday night sailing from Boulogne and the Thursday sailing from Cork have been dropped. All departures from either port are now at 21hrs or 21.30hrs

IFPete

Makes sense to drop to 5 sailings as tourist season is coming to a close.

Also helps to recover from bad weather.

Hibernia line would be better to focus on freight buildup this winter,
